We take your privacy seriously. We won't sell your data. That's a dick thing to do.
When you use Bristlr, we collect a fair chunk of data about you, but it’s the bare minimum required for the website to function. All of the information is collected explicitly from you.
As this is the internet, our servers collect loads of info like your IP address and some browser details. We do use standard internet tracking and monitoring software, namely Google Analytics, to tell us about who is using the website.
If ever we need to use your personal information for any reason which isn’t essential to the running of Bristlr, we will ask for your consent.
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law. But we would be super fucking unhappy if this happened.
Your data is store in an Amazon data center; the code lives on Heroku, the pictures on S3 storage, and the data in a Mongo database.
We use a load of middleware products to make the website function, and these services may use some of your data, as you’d expect. We only ever pass them the minimum information required to perform whatever function they do.
If you’re concerned about this, we recommend having a read of their privacy policies. For a full list of everything we use, please email John@Bristlr.com with a description of what you want (and why, because we’re interested in that sort of thing).
From time to time you may find user-generated content and links to external websites. We are not responsible for these and you should take care when viewing this content.
We will always take reasonable precaution to protect your data and follow all the best practices we can find to keep your data safe. If ever we think your data may have been compromised, we will let you know.
When you sign up to Bristlr you must be at least 18 years old. Make sure you are.
If you have any questions, comments, or feedback, please email John@Bristlr.com.
